FES-ETUC Policy Conference 2026: Shaping the Future of Quality Jobs in Europe

The forthcoming Quality Jobs Act presents a unique opportunity to strengthen Europe’s social model by placing quality working conditions at the centre of the green and digital transitions. To be effective, the Act must establish a comprehensive framework for quality jobs based on secure employment, fair wages supported by collective bargaining, safe and healthy workplaces, access to training and quality services, meaningful worker participation, and respect for the right to disconnect.

The conference will bring together policymakers, social partners and experts to discuss how the Quality Jobs Act can deliver real improvements for workers across Europe. The discussions will focus on the main priorities identified by ETUC in its reply to the first stage consultation of social partners on the Quality Jobs Act, these being: telework and right to disconnect, algorithmic management and artificial intelligence at work, just transition, occupational safety and health, subcontracting labour market intermediation, and enforcement and the role of social partners.
