Recommendations for engaging young people in Trade Unions

With the support of FES, ETUC developed a guide that explores existing good practices and new ways how to stop the trade union membership decline which is an existing threat in 27 out of 31 analysed countries. It aims to strengthen and empower youth in trade unions, to give more visibility to youth within ETUC and to empower national as well as federation trade union youth structures.

This guide offers an analysis of the opportunities for and threats to trade union membership and encourages trade union leadership to make their own strategic choices including their youth structures. Furthermore the guide was translated in 14 languages.
